2012 IFA Redfish Tour - Charleston Results

Paul Seyle and Jerry Martin
Forty-four two-man teams came together for the IFA Redfish Tour, fished out of Red's Ice House on Shem Creek. Only 17 of those teams were able to muster two slot-limit redfish for the weigh-in however on Saturday, since a weather front passed through the night before, which seemed to hinder the bite. Seven more teams brought one redfish to the scales. In the end it was the N.C. team of Hilsop and Patterson that won with their two fish weight of 8.49-pounds. Charleston anglers and father/son team of David and Addison Rupert rocked into second place with a two-fish limit of 7.97-pounds. Third place went to the team with the heaviest redfish, a 4.77-pound spot-tail caught by Paul Seyle, fishing with Jerry Martin.

Angler from Tybee Island, Georgia

The IFA Kayak Tour sponsored by Hobie, was fished the following day, Sunday June 3. Dolphin Hamilton was one of only two anglers to catch a redfish and a trout, and he successfully defended his 2011 Kayak title - winning another Hobie Pro Angler kayak!
