With beautiful oceanic conditions forecast for Friday and Saturday, the entire 26-boat Gov. Cup fleet elected not to fish on Thursday. (Day One) So this will be the second Gov. Cup event of the year that will be condensed into back-to-back fishing days, which serves up more of a shootout type format. The boats will be busy rigging baits all day Thursday, and enjoying some fellowship at Bohicket Marina. Tonight will feature a special fundraising auction that will benefit local classrooms via the
DonorsChoose system. Frogmore stew is on the diner menu for 7:30 on Thursday and extra plates can be purchased for $15.
