Gryphon Solo II making preparations in Charleston |
It took a little less than four days for the first three boats to cross the finish line in New York City, after departing Charleston at noon on May 10. Gryphon Solo II claims the first leg of the 2014 Atlantic Cup Race, with one leg left to go up to Newport. However, there will be plenty of non-racing activities while the fleet lays in New York Harbor since this event continues to grow in stature each year.
