Kings feating on ribbonfish |
The 2012 edition of the Sullivan's Island king tourney got underway with a Captain's meeting under the fish fry shed, courtesy of the fire department. The mayor and the fire chief made appearances to welcome the anglers who target kingfish each summer. Fishing took place under ideal conditions on August 4, and the 2012 winner is team Lowcountry native with a 46.28-pound king! Second place went to Rock Doc with a 37.16-pounder, while third place went to Team Genuine Risk for a 35.06-pound king. Team Reelin' was feelin' no pain in fourth place with a 34.87-pound king, while Eren's Addiction II wrapped up fifth place with a 32.37-pounder. Congrats to all the winners!
