2011 Sullivan's Island Saltwater Classic - Results

Bluewater Promotions and organizer Terry Adkins brought the Sullivan's Island King Mackerel Tourney back the BIG shed for the third consecutive year. This is actually the seventh year for this event to be held in Charleston, with the first four years fished out of Ripley Light Marina. With the help of Sullivan's Island Fire Chief Anthony Stith the event found a home on Sullivan's Island for good now. A Captain's meeting and a fish fry at the 'Big Shed' on Hennessey Street was held Friday evening, complete with live entertainment, silent auction and a powerhouse raffle. The tournament pays out cash for the first place king and the event benefits the Sullivan's Island Fire and Rescue. This is a Southern Kingfish Association sanctioned event. Congrats to Bryan Baxter (Groucho's Deli) for the winning king when his Team Sperry / Net Profit crew weighed in a 34.37-pounder!!
