While Saturday at Rockville remains the main draw in recent years, Sunday racing at the Sea Island race course remains family friendly and a great experience. After a torrent of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon, the weather could not have been better for Sunday's races. Watching E-scows, Sea Island One design sailboats and sunfish class sailors racing together up and down 'da creek' is a tradition in the Lowcountry Outdoors. Thanks to the SCDNR for taking an interest in boater safety on Rockville Regatta weekend so that these gatherings can continue for future generations.
