The tournament for the cure, otherwise known as the Red Trout Event, will be fished over the weekend to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Fishing guides will take two anglers per boat and the team will accumulate points over two days through the catch and release of trout and spot-tailed bass. The Captain's meeting and fundraising auction took place 10/2 at the Landing on Shem Creek, which will also serve as tournament headquarters for the weekend. Fishing trips with celebrities Blair Wiggins and Mark Nichols were auctioned, as well as hunting trips, vacation packages and more. This tournament is just one in a series of events up and down the coast that benefit CFF.
