Falcon 10 X 50 binoculars from Bushnell |
One of the best all around items to
have on hand are a basic pair of binoculars, whether checking on cows and the
farm, or out pursuing game and fish. What is available on today’s market is a range
from big box store options, to companies that offer a mid-range
selection, and foreign-made optics that carry a shocking price tag. Having had
some experience with all these different levels, the well-known Bushnell brand
is my most trusted ‘middle of the road’ option.
Going back to when I was growing
up, my parents had a couple of basic pairs of Bushnell binoculars. When I
purchased my first pair of optics in college for viewing football games played
in stadiums, I went with a basic pair of Bushnell binocs. Many years later, I
still consider the pair I inherited from my folks, and my stadium glasses to still
be functional, but a recent decision to buy a new pair led me back to Bushnell.
Bushnell also offers rifle scopes, rangefinders, trails cameras and many carry
a holiday rebate.
The Falcon all-purpose binoculars by Bushnell carry a 10X by 50mm magnification with Insta-Focus Lever in the middle for fingertip focusing. These optics come with a neckstrap and a carrying case, which are always important so they can be dragged into the field with little concern for wear and tear. The coated optics on the Falcon model offer a field of view that is sufficient to glass wildlife across a typical open field during hunting season, and it also offers close up clarity for viewing smaller birds in nearby cover all year round.
