2015 Christmas Wish List - Braeval Paddock Shirt

Paddock shirt by Braeval on morning of upland hunt
A heavy shirt is often all that is required during upland hunts in the Lowcountry and while an array of sporting shirts are available, there is one that surpasses my test for comfort and quality. When Gregor McCluskey brought his Braeval brand shirts to the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in 2010, I was among the first to don his duds. I started out with the Artemis shirt which offers a leather shooting patch on the shoulder and extra full cut for better shooting range of motion.
Later I graduated into the Paddock shirt by Braeval, with its distinctive leather elbow patches and lighter-weight fabric. Whether you choose the Rob Roy Highlander red plaid that resembles a lumberjack, or the more understated tattersall pattern with cream and maize colors, thePaddock shirt looks great. You may find yourself wearing it outside of hunting season in order to recall time spent in the field.  When making my own 2015 Christmas list, one wish would be to try the short-sleeved Cordoba shooting shirt in beige and brown, found only at www.braeval.net.
