Kristie Ahn wowed Stadium Court fans on Tuesday |
A full day of tennis matches began at 10 a.m. on Tuesday April 3 under sunny and warm conditions, the continued on into the first of the night matches at the
Volvo Car Open. Several American players advanced on Tuesday but the most surprising winner was USA's Kristie Ahn who dispatched 2010 past champion Sam Stosur in straight sets. In fact, the first set saw Ahn putting on a tennis clinic to quickly go up one set to none. An was up four games in the second set before Stosur rallied to win three straight games, but that comeback come up short and Ahn advanced to play another day.
