The 2011 Family Circle Cup on Daniel Island began with new vigor since Charleston was recently voted the 'Best Tennis Town' in Amercia. Many of the world's top women's professional tennis players enjoy coming the Charleston to compete in the FCC and to explore the Holy City. Qualifiers played tennis over the weekend of April 2 and 3 while the top-seeded players arrived on Monday April 4 for the All-Access Media Hour. Number One seed Caroline Wozniacki said that despite her ranking she was not all that happy with the way she is playing tennis right now, but that her practice schedule for the FCC looks good and she hopes that will caryy over into the matches. "Last year I was fighting an ankle injury, and I was a semi-finalist, but each tournament I enter I aim to win it," said Wozniacki. She also shared that while any Grand Slam victory would be a great milestone, she remembers watching Wimbledon on TV as a youth and grass courts of London hold a special appeal.
