2014 Polo For The Point

Polo players jockey for position at a fast pace
Barry Limehouse uncorks a shot on goal
The sixth annual fundraiser for the Colleton Center in Walterboro was held under clear sunny skies and brisk temperatures on November 2. Event host Buck Limehouse handles the announcer duties each year as the chukkas are played to the delight to the crowd. A strong attendance had Jean Harrigal guessing that this was the best crowd to date, and that the event is showing signs of growth. The feature match saw The Colletonian Team taking on the Steadman Agency Team in a spirited competition that kept patrons in attendance until 6 p.m., and then some stayed on for a pig pickin' and social hour up at the horse barn. Competitions for best hospitality tent and ladies hat makes it fun for everyone at this family friendly event.
