Camp Woodie Offshore Tournament - Report

Fifteen boats fished on Friday for the South Carolina Waterfowl Association's offshore tourney. The ocean seas were a very fishable two to four feet wave height and while most boats were able to land some dolphin, the wahoo and tuna proved to be elusive. With a fishing mission plan to get as many youth catching fish as possible - Day One of the two-day event was a big success. The weigh in from 4 to 7 at the City Marina was followed by a banquet (catered by Charleston Bay Gourmet)that also featured the exotic game dishes of Scott Leysath - The Sporting Chef. A raffle of hunting and fishing equipment. went very well for those in attendance. Day two of fishing will be followed by an awards ceremony at the Citadel End Zone facility.
