2009 Carolina Lady Anglers - Fishing For The Cure

The 12th Annual "Fishing For The Cure" Tournament was held on 6/6/09 with 150 anglers competing for the top three spots in the categories of king mackerel, spanish mackerel, trout, flounder, sheepshead and ladyfish. The Captain's meeting was held June 3rd at the Maritime Center and a large crowd gathered to help support the tournament, and to mingle with the Hooters Girls. Registration, raffles and t-shirt sales (they sold 250!) helped raise the funds that will be donated this year from Carolina Lady Anglers (CLA) fishing club to breast cancer causes. Janell Nettles, V.P. for CLA said, "This year's donation will be in the neighborhood of $6000." Great fishing weather on Saturday benefited the tourney participants and about 50 anglers came to the Maritime Center to weigh in their fish. Lowcountryoutdoors.com is glad to support CLA.
