A theme of "Our oceans, our responsibility" is intended to accompany all of the bounty that people enjoy from the ocean. The Billfish Foundation emphasizes that it is an individuals' duty to protect the marine environment, and mange its resourced with care. Simple things like the use of circle hooks and practicing the release of fish without removing them from the water might be the place to start. Support organizations and fishing clubs that support sustainable harvests, and make a commitment never to litter in the ocean.
