The initial fishing challenge tournament was fished Saturday June 18 at the Folly Beach Pier. An overcast morning led to a great black drum bite before the sun came out and warmed the pier full of tournament competitors angling to catch the bragging rights until the next fihsing challenge in July. No king mackerel were caught in the king category and the heaviest three fish category were all black drum caught about he same time that morning.
