Shooting Sports Field Day at Palachucola WMA

The SCDNR and the local 4-H program have teamed up again to put on this shooting sports field day at the new gun range, which is near Garnet, S.C. The event has drawn fresh support from the new Salkehatchie Branch of the QDMA and is sure to be a success and runs from 10 until 2. The field day is ideal for the young or novice candidate who is willing to learn how to shoot both archery equipment and firearms. Shooting experts and SCDNR officers will be on hand to provide firearms safety training and individual shooting instruction. Firearms, ammo and targets will be provided free of charge - making this event a great example of how SCDNR's public lands are creating opportunities to get citizens into our Lowcountry outdoors.
