The South Carolina Maritime Foundation and the Charleston Ocean Racing Association are teaming up again for the 2010 edition of Charleston Race Week(CRW). The three-day competition to be sailed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will commence today with an event registration, a captain's meeting and a beach party at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina (site of CRW since 2006). This event draws sailors from the entire East coast as it kicks off sailing season, with Charleston being the first in a series of large races that will be held further and further north as the summer season and warmer weather settles in. Each day will be capped with a 'shoreside event' that features live entertainment and food and beverage, so for more information on ticket availability visit the Internet at www.Charlestonraceweek.com.
