This new event dubbed the Three Rivers Turkey Invitational will be held in order to benefit the South Carolina Quail Project. All properties in the Santee, Black River and Pee Dee Region will be eligible for the competition between two-man teams that are vying to win bragging rights for the biggest bird harvested. SCDNR's Billy Dukes will be 'scoring' the gobblers to help determine the overall winner, while other prizes will go to heaviest tom, longest beard and sharpest and most-hooked spurs! Friday nights mandatory Kickoff Dinner is to be hosted at Longlands Plantation and S.C. Quail Project coordinator Jerald Sholar will give out any final instructions.
