Featured in the SEWE edition of Charleston Mercury Magazine - By Jeff Dennis

Merrill Irvin hails from a rural farm near Camilla, Georgia where he spent his formative years in the outdoors. After veterinary school at UGA, and moving to Charleston, Dr. Irvin became serious about photography and has been accumulating these images since 1982. His passion for photography took him to most continents except for South America and Antarctica. “I have seen some special places on my travels and I’d like to share those experiences with others,” said Irvin. “Photography teaches you patience.” Dr. Irvin works at West Ashley Vet and cares for the sporting dogs of the Lowcountry, and all creatures great and small.
The 2012 SouthEastern Wildlife Exposition will feature Dr. Irvin’s prints in the local artist section!
